Fleck LogoFleck 5600 SXT Water Softener - Classic Design, Timeless Operation

The 5600 Fleck valve is the most popular water softener control valve on the planet and offers a rigid Noryl valve body with low power consumption and a precision piston-seal-spacer assembly. Yay

"Works amazing, the water is coming out great. It was easy for me to put together. I did have a plumber install a bypass to my sprinklers and hose outlets though, to make sure that water isn't getting softened."

Easy install - excellent system

"Their YouTube video made it easy for home install. There was no need for a plumber and the system was easy to bring online and working well. Thanks!"

Roger P. (5/5)

Second Verse, Same as the First

"I just finished building a Softener/Storage area platform for our Fleck system at our new home in Southern Arizona. I had previously installed one in our home in Nor-Cal. The well water from the local provider is quite hard and dirty so filtration and softening was needed. I'm filtering to 2 microns at 10GPM prior to softening. Nice system, very easy for a homeowner to install."

Bob C. (5/5)

So far so good

"So far so good"

No way to fix

"There is no warranty! There is no where to get service and no way to get parts. Mine broke (and dimpled water all over the basement floor) and my plumber called everywhere trying to find out how to get parts and there aren’t any. Read the questions on Amazon and you’ll realize that no one will service this. Person who answered the 800 number on this site said ‘just because the Fleck name is on it doesn’t mean we take care of it’. Find another brand."

Helpful service and delivered on

"Helpful service and delivered on time. Easy instillation and so far working great."

Scott H. (5/5)

love it, as usual

"love it, as usual"

Mike B. (5/5)

Disappointing Performance

"Not terribly happy with the performance. Water not as soft and sweet smelling as our old one. We has adjusted the softness more times than should be necessary. I would not recommend. Looking to replace."

Carolyn H. (3/5)

Great softener replacement!

"I swapped out our old softener with the fleck 5600sxt and after a few weeks our water is notably softer. Install was easy enough, but it would've been infinitely easier with a stainless steel bypass valve rather than plastic. Overall great value and easy enough to install on your own without hiring a plumber!"

Brennen P. (5/5)

Incredible product

"Spent a year researching products and the Fleck 5600 is a superior performing water treatment product at a superb cost savings."

Q&A

Who would you send here to do warranty work? Humboldt Ks 66740. Please give me names. Thanks
Thank you for reaching out. Because we are an online distributor and not a local installing dealer, we do not have a specific service company that we dispatch for warranty work in Humboldt, KS 66740. For service, we would recommend contacting either the original installer or using Pentair’s dealer locator to find an authorized local water treatment professional in your area. Pentair provides a “Find a Local Pro / Find a Dealer” resource for Fleck-related water treatment products, and our Fleck Systems contact page lists our customer service number if you need help with parts or product questions.
Can the 5600 SXT be ordered with 1" yoke and by-pass valve? If so, I don't see how to order on your website.
No, we do not currently show a 1" yoke and bypass option as an online selectable upgrade for that 5600SXT package. The standard system shown on the page includes a 3/4" plastic bypass valve with 3/4" MPT connectors. If you specifically need a 1" yoke and bypass, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm whether that can be supplied separately or if a different Fleck system would be the better fit.
My display is showing the correct time but when it alternates to volume remaining it now stays at 1050 even though we are using water. It is not counting downwards to next regen. Can you advise. Thanks
Since the Fleck 5600SXT control valve is manufactured by Pentair, the fastest way to troubleshoot a “volume not counting down” issue is to contact Pentair Technical Support/Customer Service directly at 800-279-9404.
How long is regeneration cycle?
A typical Fleck 5600 SXT metered and delayed regeneration cycle runs about 75 minutes in total, broken down as follows: Cycle Step Typical Duration Backwash ~10 minutes Brine Draw / Brine Rinse (Slow Rinse) ~50–60 minutes Rapid Rinse ~10 minutes Settle Rinse ~5 minutes Brine Refill ~6–16 minutes (varies by tank size)
Can this be installed outside or has to be installed inside ?
The unit can be installed outside, but we highly recommend it is shielded from direct sunlight, rain and kept from freezing.
